Timeline

1990
Immediately after the regime change in Romania, Szep Alexandru started his first business, focusing on freight transport, a field he had worked in before, and purchased his first second-hand truck, an IFA L50 W. Working as an independent entrepreneur with his own approach, putting client respect, fairness, and punctuality first, he acted as both owner and driver, earning the appreciation and respect of many clients.
1992
He managed to purchase another truck, this time new, from Poland, from the former “Jelez” factory, a “STAR” 1142.
1993
In accordance with the requirements of that time, he established the company S.C. Expres Transport S.R.L., a name it still bears today.
1994

Another second-hand truck with trailer, a MAN 361, was purchased. Around the same time, his eldest son Szep Zoltan joined him, and shortly after, his younger brother Szep Alexandru as well.

From the beginning, the dispatch and basic accounting were handled by his wife Szep Ileana, who quickly gained extensive experience in international freight transport.

1997

When the use of EURO 2 vehicles became necessary, with limited financial capacity, he negotiated with several truck manufacturers and dealers, negotiations that failed due to their demands for a series of bank guarantees, demands motivated by distrust toward Romanian partners.

However, he found understanding in AD. VAN WIJK, a Dutch businessman who had also founded a transport company in Cluj and was familiar with the conditions in Romania at that time. In the same year, the first DAF XF truck with a semi-trailer was purchased.

From this point, adhering to the principles with which he started, S.C. Expres Transport S.R.L. managed to prosper, purchasing additional trucks every year and embarking on an upward path, which was far from easy given the conditions.

2002
The company purchased a plot of land in the town of Pecica and began construction of its own garage.
2003
The construction was completed, and the facility was put into use with the opening of the operational site.
2006

Four Euro 5 truck-trailer units were purchased, including a specialized vehicle, specifically a refrigerated van, to serve this segment of transport.

Today, the company primarily operates on the Italy route with reputable firms, maintaining a fleet of 19 DAF trucks and trailers of all types, fulfilling orders reliably with skilled professional drivers and modern vehicles.
